So where would you draw the line on proper golf attire? Cut-offs? Daisy Dukes? G strings?
Golf is not the WWF or MASCAR, a little decorum, please.

They allow flip-flops and jeans and you call that decorum?

Nobody is asking for thongs, cut-offs, and my T-shirt from college but give us the same courtesy you give women and drop the irritating and sweaty collar charade.

There are so many nice Under-Armour type dry-fit shirts that have more decorum than flip-flops and jeans.

Is this really asking too much?

Oh, and fix the dam pothole!

They're not MY rules, so I really can't help you.

You asked so I answered.

I drive past this pothole/cone everyday and will give updates periodically.

Hopefully it's fixed before next New Years.

You were just lecturing us on proper atire and making fun of NASCAR fans.

I was citing the rules of proper attire MADE BY THE VILLAGES.

But yes, I was making fun of NASCAR fans----no reason not to:1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:

This is not citing the rules.

Sounds more like lecturing to me.

As far as golf being in decline, that is simply not true, it is actually gaining participants. The only facet that was ever in decline was private country club membership, due to the cost and the economy.

From Statistica: " In 2022, the number of people participating in golf in the United States reached 25.6 million, representing a slight increase on the previous year. It also represented the highest on-course participation in more than a decade."

Now, if anyone would like to present a source that states overall participation in golf is declining, this is their chance

I have plenty of proof that MY golf game is declining.

Flip-Flops aren’t allowed.

It surely isn't enforced if true. I see tons of people in flip-flops and open sandals on the course.

They only seemed concerned about men and that magical collar. It's so dumb because they allow Henely shirts.

Oh, the pothole is still not fixed.

Second- How long ago was these rules written and do they need to be amended?

I can't wait for some transgender to step out on the course without a collar or sleeves and see how TV is going to handle it.

Separate apparel for genders is so outdated, antiquated and borderline discriminatory.

I guarantee you TV will cave to the rules when future generations filled with non-binary folks start moving into TV.

Some of these rules need to be revisited to be more inclusive to an ever changing society.

You may not like the changes in society and some of them don't make sense to me but nevertheless TV will need to change with the times.

Folks don't walk around in suits and top hats like the 30's anymore.

Even corporate offices have become much more casual in their attire requirements.

Lastly,
FIX THE DAM POTHOLE!

So.
Who cares?
It has been.
Why?
Probably not.
Why?
Nope.
Good.
So?
Why? It’s a conversation piece.

Hey! In many cases jeans are preferable to shorts. Some of those legs need hiding. (Gives me the shudders just thinking about some of the things I've seen.)

So folks with less than attractive legs should wear jeans in 95 degree weather so you don't get the shudders?

TV is not exactly a college campus. lol.

Wow. Seems like a lot of emotion over a bad spot in the concrete. Look forward to your updates.
