Thumbs up Really Like

I really like the example Judge Judy uses. If you drop a bad apple in a barrel the other apples don't get better but rather the other apples start to go bad. If a person is able to hurt a community because of an act it does not make the community better. It makes the community get worse. Net: Is to catch it in the bud. The rules of The Villages are created to keep the Villages at their best and to stop "bad apples" from spreading the problems. Given the policy and practices of The Villagess this works and sometimes takes a few more days than would be optimum.

Any updates on what has happened? Has this person with the carts been reported? If they do not have a commercial license for the property there has to be a fine.

Problem is, by the time they "getaroundtuit" the violation is gone. Like last month this month's "sale" only lasts 2 days. Still there today but if reported it would take a week or 2 before they payed a visit.

Sign was still there for today's 2nd day of the 2 day "sale."

Hmmm. Please keep reporting here. If I’m going to follow all the rules, the neighbors should too. Need to check specifically what they are allowed to do first.
Here I am paying almost $2000 to keep my property looking nice for my neighbors who are there, when I am not even there yet myself.

I wonder if they are collecting state tax on each sale, and if they are turning the tax $$$$$ over to the tax people.

I'm sure that that is not allowed. Unless that have a variance, it would violate zoning laws.

That does not look like O'Dell Circle by the way.

Hay! Sounds great. I live on a golf course, so I think I will build me a snack shack in my back yard and sell hot dogs and beer to the golfers. Ya think that will be a problem? OMG, 15 carts for sale on the front lawn. What next?

I would call Villages Golf Cars at Colony and ask if they'll match the price of the golf cart dealer on O'Dell.

I would go to this Sumter County Code Complaint website and list them as a roadside vendor in a residential neighborhood. They wouldn't be able to investigate in time, but upload a photo of the current situation and they probably would stop them from any future operations.

Submit a Code Complaint | Sumter County, FL - Official Website

Call TV Deed Compliance office and report the violation and send an email with attached photo to
deedcompliance@districtgov.org

As noted in the OP, THE SIGN pointing to the dealership, I mean the sale, I mean the house, was on O'Dell (at Mt Croghan Trail), not the sale itself. The actual address is listed in post #55 in this thread.

Hmmm. Good thing no one accidently knocked the sign over. Then no one would know about the sale.

Someone wrote that the first one, 4 weeks ago, was advertised in the Happy News. Not sure on part Deux.
