I find this all very interesting! About a year ago CPM (Commercial Property Management) told all the businesses at Lake Sumter Landing that the business owners and all their employees are not to park their cars on the streets of LSL. They must park in the lots behind the businesses. Now I've talked to a lot of employees at LSL and many were never told by the business owners. The threat that CPM now uses is that they will tow owners and employees cars. Many days I see (tall) Ben, who works for CPM, patrol the streets writing down license plate numbers on his clipboard. I can only assume CPM asks the sheriff's department to run all these plates to provide vehicle owner names, so CPM can build an enforcement database.

I find this very troubling because sometimes spouses drop off employees and then use the car during the day and may come back at 4-5 PM to have dinner at LSL with their spouse when they get out of work. It looks like spouses are not allowed to park their car on the street either now, for fear of being towed.

So now I see that employees can't park on the streets AND can't park in parking lots behind the businesses, either. Where are they suppose to park?

Again, not all owners have informed their employees because some have the attitude of "Give me a break! More new rules?". Many business owners don't want to park their car in East Podunk and carry cash home at 9:30 pm (or later in the case of restaurants) in the dark across a vacant parking lot to get to their car.

I'd be interested in knowing if the OP (Mikiem) was notified within the last year, where he can and can not park. And was Ben standing there with the tow truck operator giving him instructions to tow this one and that one?

I know if my car (plate number W77-2UQ) was towed, I'd be one upset Villager and the POA would be headlining this unjust situation of CPM throwing their weight around.
