" What is a "1000 degree car"? Your garage is meant to house a car. Why in the world would you not want your car in the garage? Instead of exposing the car to the outdoor elements all day and all night, it makes sense to put it inside the garage. Have you seen all the pollen in the springtime on your car? Not good for the paint at all. How about the fading effects of the sun on the paint?

My thought process says if you spend $25,000 on a car, why not take care of it and keep it in your garage? "

Tbugs,

Please re-read my PM.

I believe I said that you are kind. Edit by Kate Actually I said you were helpful. Please look at the title of my PM. I think that will clarify things.

My mistake.

Streets are public so perfectly legal but not advisable due to narrow streets. You increase the odds of getting hit by another vehicle.

I live in the Village of Amelia. My Covenants & Restrictions say as follows: #12. Parking: Vehicles are to be kept in owners' garages or concrete driveways. To me, this does not "suggest." I believe this keeps our neighborhoods well-kempt and that is why the Developer chose to have this in the C&R's. Why do you have to park in the street? Do you have 3 cars? And :agree: with Tbugs about your unfounded reasoning for not putting your car in the garage. Is there something we don't know about cars exploding in garages or causing the drywall to explode in spontaneous combustion?

Plus whats wrong with the street. Streets are for cars and trucks.Trust me they where not built for golf carts.

KK, I believe that I read a post in the past that indicated that the "#12 Parking" restriction was deemed as unenforcable sometime after the C&R's were created. I looked but couldn't find the post, but I did find the following post that you might be interested in reading:

On being neighborly...

Q: Why did the dog pee on the tire?
A: Because it was parked on the road. :plane:

The developer has no control over parking on a public street. The deed restriction #12 is enforceable by Deed Compliance and its intent is to prevent cars parking on lawns.
