I am entitled to think that. It is a free country anyway.

Happy Easter RustyP, glad you are here with us in lower paradise.

Third Saturday of the month is cruise in night. The streets are closed around the square and the classic cars occupy all of the parking spaces. The club of the month gets to park in front of the Church On The Square (The Sharon now). It is one of the busiest nights of the month in the square. It should be the first test to see how parking will be handled. I hope well. Nothing more than that was intended by my post. However I have not had this much fun with my pants on in a long time.

Default A simple solution:

There's a simple solution to all of this: Build a parking garage above the town square. Everything at ground level would stay exactly as it is now with streets and free nightly entertainment. The first level of parking would be high enough so as not to obscure the view of all the restaurants and shops. This would cover an area that includes the streets.

It just has to be engineered with steel beams that are strong enough to hold all the weight. It would be an engineering marvel.

The Scientific Method.

Define the problem.

Gather facts on the problem.

Come to a trial conclusion.

Check the trial conclusion.

Come to a final conclusion.

WAIT....until you have a problem before starting step one.

Gracie, your post shows intellectual logic. That will never work for these loyal pessimists.

You are absolutely right. No wonder I haven't solved any major problems lately.

Actually, I don't see that much of a parking problem. Might have to park in Belk's parking lot, (yes, a little walk) but still will be plenty of parking, don't you think?
