Not sure of your definition of "inside the neighborhoods". Most of the streets in The Villages are owned and maintained by the counties. Some of those in villa areas are private and maintained by the CDD.

A friend had a neighbor who parked his 34' motor home in the street. After trying to "reason" the neighbors got in touch with the Sumter County Sheriff's office. Bottom line---the Deputy said it was okay because it didn't impede traffic.

It could depend on which Deputy you happen to draw. This incident was two half years ago. The neighbor sold his motor home a year later. Peace once again in the neighborhood!

Your deed restrictions apply to the plot of land your house in on per community watch and the community standards folk. All roads are county owned and policed. The county gives the villages some money to maintain but they are still county roads.

Villas are on streets owned by the CDDs. County is not responsible for those.

My deed restrictions contain language regarding parking.

I had The VIllages deed compliance people visiting me on another topic, but I asked and they said it's county maintained and thus legal to park on the streets, no problem
