One of the things I like about The Villages is that while there may at times be workers or visitors parking at the curb in the daytime in residential districts, there are virtually no vehicles parked along the curb at night. That looks better, and it’s safer, especially for pedestrians. I know last night I nearly hit two pedestrians crossing the street in my neighborhood. They were crossing at an unlighted crosswalk wearing black clothes, and they were nearly invisible, as they were in the street but not in the beam of my lights. Fortunately, I was coming to a full stop at the stop sign and stopped before the crosswalk, but it was a shock for all of us. If they were stepping around a big truck parked in the street, who knows?

Sounds too big for a driveway as creates safety issue for neighbors wanting to see to back out of driveway. Lots of storage places to park this vehicle. Thanks.

You can't park on the street if your village is within Wildwood which quite a few of them are.

If Wildwood maintains the streets, then they make the parking rules. If the county maintains the street then the county makes the rules.

That, tragic as it would be, is Darwinism at work. On their part, not yours. Only clueless fools (and thieves) walk around in the street at uncontrolled intersections in wholly dark clothing at night. Especially in a neighborhood that is world-renown for elderly folks and their naturally occurring poor eyesight.

We live in new DeLuna so I know exactly what property you’re talking about as we pass that street regularly to and from the Water Lily bridge. We’ve been scratching our heads wondering how they’ve gotten approval for the many huge additions they’ve done, including the RV garage that has no driveway. Now they have a pool being built, which will have a huge bird cage eventually, which is fine, but WOW we’ve never seen an average sized property with so many additions crammed onto it as this one. It defies Villages CDD logic, lol. It does seem like a “who you know” kind of situation. 😉

In some CDDs complaints are still anonymous, and in the City of Wildwood it’s against the law to park your vehicle on the street overnight. Just a couple of corrections to your comment. I’m personally so grateful for our wonderful neighbors who park all of their vehicles in their garages making our street so nice and attractive, and easy to navigate since the streets are very narrow. We definitely lucked out in that respect.

My truck doesn't fit in the garage either and I've been parking it in the driveway for almost a year.

I see many others with their trucks in the driveway as well. All sizes.

As long as it isn't a commercial style vehicle you are fine.

This is something I have been thinking about. What do people do who have a single car garage, but want to have a golf cart and an automobile?

even a 1 car garage in a 2bed, 2bath villa has room for a cart. not much room for anything else, but it can be done.

We have looked at some of the new builds that have a one car garage (the house is called a tide pool) does Not fit a car and a cart.
It’s shame , we like the the floor plan
