Default Patti Lupone

In case you might be interested. Patti Lupone on 4/30 at TV Sharon theatre, $150 per pop. Less than 2 weeks earlier, same show at the Patchogue theatre in Patchogue NY, Ticket prices from $45 to $75. The lady is 65 years old and was a star 20-30 years ago. Wanna bet it ain't like it used to be?

I saw her in NY (I live in Maryland) on broadway not that long ago and she's still pretty darn good. And tickets there are $150 for the cheap seats. I'm going to be in TV in May but would've loved to see her. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Of course, when you add the cost of airfare to get to Patchogue, $150 sounds like a pretty good deal.

I disagree with the OP in that we should wait for reviews of her performance, before she is trashed. IMHO

I always thought she had a great singing voice.

Where is Patchogue, New York? The Villages is on the map as the fastest growing municipality in the U.S.

Think...HOT.

Higher prices for more desirable venue????

In case nobody noticed. I LOVE this place.

Looks like the show will be a sell out even at $150.00 and the request for formal attire.

She was the original Eva Peron in "Evita" on Broadway and won a TONY for that performance. She also won a TONY for her portrayal of Mama Rose in "Gypsy", and has numerous other TONY nominations. She was Fantine in the original London production of Les Miz. She also has 2 Grammy awards, and has appeared on TV and in films multiple times. She is a true international star. And yes she is 65. I'm 66 and still performing, thanks to the opportunities we have here in TV. She probably is a little better than me though. She's a year younger.

The tickets here at The Sharon for Patti LuPone are about 70% sold with 3+ weeks to go.

When tickets are selling out, who cares if some think she's a nobody??

And about the ticket prices being "too high"…..A lot of people here do not golf and are therefore not spending $200 each per week on golf at the championship courses and off campus. But maybe they DO want to spend $300 for theater tickets once a month, or a couple of times per year.

Each to his own!
