Any chance we could get 466-A named something else to eliminate confusion. I’ll throw in $20 how about you?

We call it "the other 466."

Lack of employees? It was doing a pretty brisk business when open….

They have been having problems because the underinformed mgmt and verizon decided that the place could operate on a hot spot which is impossible.

self drowning? probably so. I'd venture that they drove themselves into the ground based on duh.

What is "Starbucks"?........

Petersweeney 11-25-2021 07:29 AM

Hadn’t been to SB in years….but 2weeks ago I went and waited half hour for burnt coffee - never going back- really I don’t get why the masses line up for that crap.1

During my working life on the West Coast, we often found ourselves in a coffee battle with vendors from the East Coast. They could not believe we could drink gallons of "burnt coffee" from places like Starbucks. We were stunned the day they took us to a Dunkn Donuts for some "real" coffee. Different strokes for different folks but seriously, Dunkn Donuts?

My preferred cup of "Joe" is my keurig dispensing a hot mug of Tim Horton's dark roast. No cream, no sugar, no flavored syrups.

I read that starbucks employees in Buffalo, NY are trying to unionize. Also, I believe another coffee chain (local, named Spot Cofee)in Buffalo actually did unionize a few years ago.

No WI-FI

Apparently a lightning strike fried their WiFi system. That means they can’t accept mobile orders, drive thru orders, communicate between internal computers or process credit cards and SB gift cards. Would have to be cash only and waitstaff the window.

Temporarily closing the doors until fixed was a better option than having disgruntled customers ragging on the staff all day long.

I was at the Walmart grocery over by Colony checking out when the guy putting my groceries in bags told the cashier he had to go over and close the liquor store. It was around 5:30. I asked him why because I thought it was open quite a bit later than that. He said he had to close it because they didn’t have anyone to work there that evening. I know there seems to be a lot of that these days so I guess inflation isn’t hurting people that much or they could get a first or second job there. I worked part time at Walmart when I was a young single mother. I would go there as soon as I got off work from my day job to help make ends meet. I know, blah blah blah etc.🙂🙃🤔

Starbucks

The road construction has to be factored in heavily

Many modern, fast serve restaurants, require wifi for operations. The system regulates everything. They are not set up for old school, point of sale out of a cigar box.

SWAG: Employees may have wrongly assumed that their children would be allowed to attend the Villages Schools.
Property is not owned by TV. Therefore staffing problems.

Well I like Starbucks coffee, and I can distinguish between 466 and 466A, and in general I drink Starbucks out of my Keurig, no waiting. The holiday blend, out this time of year, is particularly good. And if you read this entire thread start to finish, you start to chuckle and end up laughing.
