Assuming the car really was stopped there, I'd say that it was sticking out too far into the outer lane. It would be safer to stay back a bit, even if the back end was partially blocking the cart lane.

Tell that to the car driver who gets stuck under the open gate arm while the courteous driver lets a bunch of carts through the crossing.

That's not a courteous driver. A courteous driver doesn't block the golf cart lane if there's a back up whether at a gate or at a roundabout. A courteous driver doesn't stop traffic to let golf carts go. A courteous driver does give a golf cart the right of way when it is warranted (such as when the driver is turning right and the cart is going straight). A courteous driver is that -- courteous, considerate of all, not just one.

A discourteous driver stops in the middle of the cart path so that a cart cannot go through; rushes to beat the cart to the corner; is under the illusion that the car always has the right of way; and so on and so forth.

Unfortunately this is the exception and not the rule.
Once I even saw the second car in line wait behind the cart crossing so as not to clog up half a dozen golf carts!

I've circumnavigated that cart path 100's of times and have never encountered a car stopped in the cart path. This guy is doing it just right.

This guy is doing nothing wrong except possibly for the fact that his front end is a little bit into the traffic circle.

We need more signs (ha) saying: "Golf carts yield to cars". There are a couple posted north of 466, and I can't remember exactly where I saw them, but rationally it's 1 ton cart vs 8 ton car.

I don't "get:" the photograph.
I totally agree with you Gracie.

Yeah, I also notice how the car two to the right in the outside lane did not take the right turn like he/she was supposed to.

I agree with Gracie. Car drivers should not encourage and enable newbie golf cart drivers (or any driver) to think they have the right of way when they do not.

There are already enough terrible driving habits here without enabling golf cart drivers to assume that car drivers must yield to them.

Google Maps maps.google.com or Google Earth. If you need help finding and/or navigating these sites please feel free to PM me. I would be happy to help. I find Google Earth a great source of pleasure. I "travel" all over the world on Google Earth.
