Default Pet Transport from Ft Lauderdale

Are there any pet Transport companies that pick up pet cargo from Ft Lauderdale and deliver to The Villages?
No airline in my area has direct flights to Orlando, Ft Lauderdale is our only option.

Ty in advance for any recommendations

I wasn't planning on coming for a couple weeks until we sell our current home. I have someone to watch him in TV until I get there.

Understand. Pet transportation is not easy. Are there direct flights to Tampa or Sanford. Both airporst are much closer than Lauderdale.

Think twice about putting a pet in cargo, many do not survive. No heat, no air conditioning, a lot of times they suffocate.

While our son's dog did not suffocate when transported via airline, he was removed from the cargo hold covered in his own feces and traumatized. We would not recommend it.

If you wouldn’t put your child in the cargo hole, don’t put your fur babies in a cargo hole!

That is simply not true. I raised and showed Labrador Retrievers for 35 years and have shipped them all over the world.
Airlines have very strict rules on cargo pet transportation. The outside temperature has to meet certain parameters the day your pet flies or they will not take them. They will not ship certain breeds (short noses) that could have breathing issues. You have to have a vet clearance within a specified time period. RARELY does a dog die when being transported. It is very safe to ship your dog but it is expensive.

Many airlines have banned pets from traveling in cargo on passenger flights since March 2020.
Check with your airline, directly.
You also need a veterinarian health certificate within 10 days prior to travel.
Small pets in approved travel bags that can fit under seat are allowed on passenger flights.
There are certain breeds that airlines won't allow to travel on any flights.
Good luck!
