IMHO, being “pool police” sounds like a horrible job. They’re going to need someone at each pool the entire time it’s open unless TV decides to just let ‘er rip.

Sounds like a huge liability.

When priority pools open we will go on occasion, they are less used than the neighborhood or family pools,

What does the Property Owners Assoc. or POA have to do with this "COVID-19 District Action Plan" ? :ho:

They reprinted what the District announced, just a service to their members. The District made the announcement around 5 PM. Also, didn't see anything about pools opening in May. Regional rec centers in May with limitations, additional rec facilities in June pending approvals. What did I miss?

Probably the same chemical that kills all the other bacteria and viruses that are in the pool water.

Chlorine kills algae not viruses!

You been here since 2009 and now asking what are priority pools?

The Villages Country Club Pools

The Villages Country Club Pools are for the exclusive use of Villages Country Club Priority Members and their guest(s). Priority Pool Membership Enhancements are available to all Villages residents.

For more information on these memberships, please contact the Tee Time/Membership office at 750-4558.

All country club pools are family pools. If you wish a quieter pool setting, you may want to use one of the neighborhood pools.

Nope!

When you add chlorine disinfectant to water, a chemical reaction occurs and a weak acid called hypochlorous acid is released. This acid is able to penetrate the cell walls of microbes like bacteria and viruses, so it can attack and kill germs effectively.

"Chlorine-based disinfectants are very effective against a wide range of viruses and bacteria, and under the right conditions even parasites," says Mary Ostrowski, senior director of chlorine issues at the American Chemistry Council.

If you are hesitant about the boundaries at the pools then just don't go! Others who may enjoy the activities there can take the "risk".

And from the CDC website:

“There is no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread to humans through the use of pools, hot tubs or spas, or water playgrounds. Proper operation, maintenance, and disinfection (e.g., with chlorine and bromine) of pools, hot tubs or spas, and water playgrounds should inactivate the virus that causes COVID-19.“

It would be nice if they reopened the dog parks.

From the CDC:

"What to do if you own pets
Until we learn more about how this virus affects animals, treat pets as you would other human family members to protect them from a possible infection.

Do not let pets interact with people or other animals outside the household.
Keep cats indoors when possible to prevent them from interacting with other animals or people.
Walk dogs on a leash, maintaining at least 6 feet (2 meters) from other people and animals.
Avoid dog parks or public places where a large number of people and dogs gather."
