Hi, Looks great, and I like your privacy screen/shade on the lanai. Is it a pull down type shade, or just a replacement of the original screen? Where did you obtain the screen/shade? thanks

Golfnut, great solution. :#1:

Very creative concept. :2cool: and a great improvement to the aesthetics of the property.

Did you have a landscape designer help you with that? That's exactly what I would envision as an acceptable, by the rules, privacy idea. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the compliments, I worked with a company called Terrascape they were very helpful and reasonably priced, I believe the mans name was Andres (spelling?). I had the original screening replaced with privacy screen by a man/company named Thumper, he also did my garage screen and front door so he gave me a nice package price, he came recommended by others here on TOTV, and I was not disappointed..

I've seen a good many places who have installed this screening. My big questions is:
WHAT DO YOU SEE FROM INSIDE?
There's an ad found in the Daily Sun now and then that shows a tropical island scene as "your view," but no corresponding "outsider's view," so I'm very curious!

What is that pole that we see in the 'after' pic? It doesn't appear to be there earlier.

...also rain gutters installed and a second roof vent added for something. Is it an optical illusion that the back yard looks bigger?

Looks really nice. Amazing what some nice plantings and the screens make. It looks like and entirely different home. Nice job. ;D ;D

Golfnut, this is the screening I discussed in an earlier post on thei subject. I assume you like it. Is you home a Lantana or Gardenia? Yard sure looks nice.

Bama, our house is a Jasmine, and yes we love the screening. This is the same type of screening you see on the garage door screens. From the inside it is very easy to see out, but from the outside it is hard to see in (during the day) at night you can see in easier from the outside if there is a light on inside.

Here are several ideas you might want to consider.

**Roller shades that are sheer so it is hard to see in during the day.

Maybe large sheer drapes Ikea carry large sizes that could work on a patio. Or use sunbrella fabric to block portions of views then mix it up with plantings to get a nice mix of things to block views.

GolfNut - I bet that also helps you with the afternoon sun good move really like what you did.

The cheapest place I've found for yards of sunbrella fabric is e-bay.

Hope this helps and gives you several ideas.

Hi Golfnut, it's Grammy & Grampster. I changed our pix after you said we were too young to move to TV. Really liked your yard work. We are in the midst of selling and we are going to purchase a JasmineII. Any tips about the Jasmine you care to share. It is a great looking home! Johnny
