Nope. The achilles tendon is fine. It's the bottom of the heel...

Thanks for the advice. I honestly appreciate it. But I'm a Podiatrist. I have this covered...

DPM, Heal Thyself.
Good luck.

LOL! I honestly -DO- appreciate all of the advice, since I know people are just trying to help...

But yeah, It's does drive me a bit bonkers when people don't read the thread before posting...

Pickleball can be a dangerous sport. I recall one key rule taught my wife and I when we took lessons several years ago — NEVER, EVER RUN BACKWARDS! (Lots of people suffer head injuries, concussions, bad cuts, etc. when they try to “back up” to hit a ball, then trip and fall backwards, hitting their heads.)

But I’m sure you know that already.

This thread is really showing how many posters don't read the whole thread before posting. Either that or reading comprehension is as bad as the driving around here.

Of course people are going to weigh in with advice. Why on earth anyone would post their aches and pains on this forum is beyond me, short of soliciting sympathy or attention. Maybe a get well card would be more appropriate.

Good grief.

I knew what it was right away. A partial tear in my Plantar Fascia... I tired to finish the game, but I had to quit...

I popped a handful of Motrin, and I've spent the afternoon with and ice bag on my heel and the foot elevated. No sign or bruising or swelling (which is good), but it hurts like a sumbich when I first get up to walk...

I had to cancel our golf game this afternoon...

I could have sworn someone said that Pickelball was better than golf...

Hopefully, I'll be able to play golf when my daughter and son in law arrive tomorrow evening. We have a tee-time at Evans Prairie on Wednesday...

Well, at least I'll be able to take the cart...

I ended up with both feet having that same problem after playing a lot of pickleball. Unfortunately, it takes a long time to heal at our ages. Good luck.

Oh, I don't know... Maybe just to share something that happened?

But "Get Well Cards" would be appreciated... Especially when attached to a nice bottle of Bourbon...

Apparently not all of us read an entire thread before posting or perhaps some doubt you really are a podiatrist.

For the doubters post either your diploma or some testimonials for people who had problems with their feet and after seeing you walked out of your office.

And yes this is tongue firmly in cheek.:BigApplause:

You actually think any of my patients are able to WALK out of my office?

Damnit! I'm a Dr, not a magician!

It was an injury on a pickleball court. Of interest to many. Also this is a community, we are concerned & glad to offer our support & best wishes. Why are so many posters so grumpy is a question I have.

Dusty_Star 02-20-2023 09:55 AM

Hope for Quick Healing

Sorry to hear of your injury, hope it heals quickly.

Janicepyatt 02-20-2023 09:58 AM

It's why I play Beach Tennis...wayyyyy less injuries and more fun that PB.
