This is a "guy" thing. IMO it is a nasty "habit". Men think if they gotta go....they take a quick look around, and just pull it out and go. I think men find it easier to urinate wherever they are rather than be looking for a rest room. I don't think men like to be inconvienenced. Golf courses/bushes during the day and the-shadows near the squares during the evenings. Nasty.

No, it's NOT just a guy thing. Men may do it in greater numbers, but I have seen women relieving themselves outdoors in public, too. But since they're not standing in an upright position like men they're just not as easily seen. So don't make it sound like men are the only ones who can be "nasty".

Sereona, you've seen women go to the bathroom in public? You mean like on the sidewalks, on the golf courses or in spaces like that? That's what this man was apparently doing. I find it hard to believe that a woman would be so bold to relieve herself that publically. The only time I would go to the bathroom "in public" was when I was a very young little girl my parents would take us to our grandparents house. Their house was remotely located. As it would be traveling with little kids, we had to go on the way there. My dad would find a dirt road, not a soul on it, and Pull over so we could pee. We hid behind the car, not seen by anyone. My grandparents house was not near any gas stations or stores where we could find a rest room. To me, that was acceptable. But, to have adults relieve themselves in public is disrespectful to others and piggy.

Has anyone here ever gone backpacking? Or on a particularly lengthy day hike? If so I would presume you have urinated outside. And unless it was on your own private property, it could be considered "pubic" urination (despite the fact that you went behind a bush).
I'm not a mind-reader, but I'm willing to assume the guy mentioned in the original post was not aware he was being observed. Still, peeing in the parking lot is a bit uncouth, but is it really that much more outrageous than picking one's nose, spitting on the sidewalk, or "breaking wind" when others are present?

In order for a man who is fully clothed to pee he has to expose himself. My solution is to carry a "cattle prod". Here is why a cattle prod would be effective in this situation.

"The voltage in a stun gun is high enough to dump electricity into the entire body. The lower voltage in a cattle prod only shocks someone at the point of contact."

Now you know my feelings about peeing in public.

And uh, where would that point of contact be?

Grab ahold and start running. You could give him a quick tour of the property he is disrespecting.

It's very possible that he has a medical condition such as early dementia or Alzheimers (sorry about the spelling).

Awwwww, he was only playing the organ. If I was there with my taser, he'd
be playing the electric organ. :a040::a040:

To begin utilizing nature as your personal possession is contrary to civility. Having said that normally two issues create urgency. First your too drunk to feel and hence create your urgency. Secondly advanced years have diminished control and hence urgency strikes at odd moments. How many of the guys reading this have seen someone in their foursome run behind a tree. I saw a guy on Bacall right out in the open and said nothing as their were two women in our foursome and I didn't want to bring attention to him
So far I have managed my manners

Why am I entering into this discussion? And why are we even having it? Public urination, regardless of gender, is lewd and in poor taste. It leaves a stench and subjects the rest of us to have to smell it, walk in it, and track it wherever we go. If it's ok for one to do it, then its ok for all to do it, and if all do it, then The Villages smells like a ballpark restroom rather than a beautiful retirement community.

If I am out in the woods, backpacking or whatever, and the urge hits for a bodily function, and there are no restrooms, at least I find a place of relative privacy (behind a bush and away from my group) to take care of this business. We've all been in that situation and you don't foul the campsite, or the town square, or the parking lot.

If we condone a public onesy, then are we far away from condoning a public twosy, or a public display of extreme effection, or anything else for that matter that is generally considered best to remain private?

And I certainly don't condone boorish and lewd behavior just because someone is drunk. Getting drunk is not an excuse for bad driving, violence, or any other unacceptable behavior. This person, whether Villager of Visitor should have been caught and punished severely, and by severe I mean locked up and fined a substantial amount. Seriously, we don't allow our dogs to do this, as is evidenced by multiple threads on TOTV, so why are we discussing whether it might be acceptable for a human?

If I see this sort of behavior, I'm snapping a cellphone photo and taking it straight to the authorities, if not the internet!

Please notice there are no caps in this post. I'm not ranting, but rather just sharing what seems to me to be an obvious opinion. Thanks for reading!

2 PEES in a pod

I SAW 2 IDIOTS doing the same thing near Publix in Spanish Springs. No cop or I would have alerted them.

Skipping all the posts to the end...my son came out of church about age 3 and while I talked with friends peed liberally out of his tiny brown church suit pants into the grass. that is one of my funniest memories.

No excuse...

There is an over abundance of places to "relieve himself" in TV..so I see no excuse for this behavior.
