I agree. When I sit out on our lanai at night I do not want to hear someone's TV. Somehow it's different if someone is talking, but to hear a TV & commercials, no thanks!

TV on Lanai

All, we already own wireless headphones called 'tv ears' and I assumed that I would be considerate of others who may overhear the television. I was only seeking feedback on electronic / technical issues relating to having a television on the lanai. Thanks for those who provided input on that front and for all others, thank you for the kind reminder, but I assure you I am considerate of others.:wave:

Exactly. Same thing happened near someone I know also. Please, Please everyone consider your neighbors. One house is 10 feet from me the other a whopping 20 feet. If they had TVs it would affect my quality of life imeasurably.

TV on Lanai

It Is No Big Deal But if your concerned you can get wireless earphones that work great at any retailer. I'vegot them and never use them because like everyone in the villages, my nieghbors cannot hear well. Bottom line, Enjoy outdoor TV this is Florida!!!!

We have a tv on our Lanai----it is in a corner next to the main part of the house and out of the weather. We can easily bring it into the house when we leave for the summer. We also have a Big Screen in the Great room which we watch more than the tv on the lanai. No technical problems and no "neighbor" problems either----we are on the golf course and no real close neighbors.

I see a couple of posts about old people not hearing well. That's probably true in about 50% of the cases. The other 50% of the neighbors would be really annoyed with noise. Justjim and others, nice to see you're considerate, have thought things out, and/or use headphones!

I think we've gotten way off topic, the OP asked;

"was concerned about heat, humidity and maybe even rain overspray out there? Would live your valuable feedback."
