Default Platform Tennis & Sand Volleyball courts at Seabreeze Rec-Center

I was at the new Seabreeze Regional Recreation Center today and they are putting in Several Platform Tennis Courts and one Sand Volleyball Court.

I played Platform tennis a couple of times many years ago and don't remember much about it. Are ther any Platform Tennis players out there that can tell us about the game. Below is a link to a Platform Tennis site.

The Sand Volleyball looks like it could be fun also.

We have platform tennis here at our Country Club but you don't see it a lot. That is GREAT.

I think you have to play Sand Volleyball in a bikini. I had better start toning.

Default Platform Tennis: the Winter Sport

Platform tennis in New England was a winter sport that tennis players used to tone up for the regular seasons and use as an excuse to soak up rum drinks, etc.

If we continue to break winter records here it may be more popular than that PB thing.

As I remember the rules, it was somewhat like racquetball; you played the ball off of everything.

I did play Platform tennis in 1981 at the US Embassy in Warsaw Poland. I remember having fun and it was a memorable experience or else I could not recall it today. I totaly forget the rules of the game except you do play off all walls.
