I agree with one caveat: It doesn't matter (or shouldn't) whether you are a neurosurgeon of Ben Carson's ability or the guy who like Ed Norton cleans out the sewers----there is no reason to be a pig and leave a filthy mess. This not only goes for "contractors" but also residents. Based on observing golf course behavior such as not repairing ballmarks, not filling divots, and not raking traps---the "leave it for someone else to do" attitude, it would not be beyond belief that some of the "filthy mess" is created by our own Villagers. And if that is true, what better scapegoat than "the contractors". I made a simple rule in our office---"You plug it, you plunge it", and "Your mother is not her to clean up after you"

Wherever we lived before, did all the do-gooders on here tell landscape, building, and other contractors to just walk in and use bathrooms at the member-owned pool & tennis club nearby? Never!!

Personally, I do not mind one bit if maintenance workers use the pool or golf course bathrooms - but like anyone be clean about it.

I, however, think that ID card check should be a MUST for someone to enter the pool area to sun and swim. There are lots of non-residents from the surrounding communities who regularly use the pools. They know the random pool checkers will not check IDs of people in the water so they hop in when a check is being started.

That's the problem; poor upbringing.

Not sure I have a clue about Ben Carson's surgical ability but otherwise agree. When's the last time you stepped up to a Urinal in either A Country Club or a Villages Restaurant and didn't have to dodge the leftover remnants of previous visitors. My guess is that contractors have better aim and p--s in the Urinals and not in front or to the side of them. Leave the contractors alone and stop criticizing them. Oh, unless you are Donald Trump of course.

My father was an electrical contractor. I never asked him if he was told not to use certain bathrooms because he's only a contractor and might not know how to not leave a mess.
How about police officers? Can they use our bathrooms?

You will find that many things here are done differently then where we lived before.....and that's not necessarily a bad thing.

.....and some people wonder why I rail all the time about being vigilant and aware of their surroundings; trash like that are the reason I legally carry a weapon. I'm not against any human being using our "public restrooms"; I'm against them taking advantage of senior citizens.

Absolutely right. However, leaving your wallet with cash and credit cards in your shorts in the men's room while swimming is NOT being vigilant and aware of your surroundings, is it?

If you saw the theft in progress, it certainly would be a good thing to hold a gun on the thief while the police were called.
