If ask to execute him not a problem I have o conscience or remorse On my bucket list |
I just love these folks that believe death by the hand of the state is murder. They have so much compassion for these criminals and low lifes who have been in trouble with the law over and over and want to give them a few years in prison and then some parole board lets them out. Victims are lost in the process, and that is just plain WRONG.

There are many people who deserve the death penalty but I am still not sure that our justice system is competent enough to actually get the killer dead to rights. Lots of factors play into them sometimes getting the wrong person for the crime. One of these is the pride and arrogance of some prosecutors and the community's need for closure. Then you might have a local clique that gets away with just about anything as they have the local lawyers and police all wrapped together in an extremely selfish nexis of shared interests. |

We have posters here on both sides that are responding out of pure emotion. The responsible driver had prior convictions. He is now going to be judged based on a hit and run. In part the seriousness of hit and run is that if the driver stayed might have been able to get help to the victim which could have saved her life. don't know if we will ever know that part. A judge will sentence this guy according to his past record and this offense; provided he is found guilty. Its troubling because chances are he ran perhaps because he was under the influence . an investigation will uncover what transpired several hours before this mishap. If found guilty he will go likely go to jail His act is one negligence /accidental and not intentional or passionate homicide so jail time is indeed a bitter pill

And what method would you use to execute this man ? I'll construct the noose knot. Will you put it on his neck, tighten it and drop him 10' ? I'll supply the rifle, load it and hand it to you. Will you sight down the barrel, aim for his heart and squeeze the trigger ? Do you hate this man ? And if you did, would you end his life? Think about it good and hard. Could you really kill another human being knowing full well you could allow him to live ? |
Does anyone know the citizenship status of the drunk scum that fled the scene? Florida has seven sanctuary counties.
It would surprise you to know how many politicians are implementing these sanctuary areas. Map: Sanctuary Cities, Counties, and States | Center for Immigration Studies Hopefully the elimination of these santuary areas will begin in November. Luckily as of now, none of these areas are very close to the villages. But as close as the Tampa area. RIP Lori, I hope your family gets justice. |

Maybe, but I think a dead victim and a grieving family is much more bitter. And there is a huge difference between "accidental" and "negligent". |

Interesting question. I think I could. A man that just tortured and killed my family, I would think, would be easy to kill. Someone that punches me in the nose, no. A ponzi schemer that financially devastated 1000s of people (as did Madoff), maybe. |

Now they have the probably killer of the Gypsy Hill women Rodney Halbower as the main person of interest in the 2-24-1976 murder of Michelle Mitchell. I would rather Halbower rot in prison than put the Michelle Mitchell family through yet another trial. It has been 40 years and what good would a trial do? And I do not think the other families of the Gypsy Hill girls will ever get closure as I seriously doubt if Halbower is able to tell the truth. The man sounds psychotic. There were five girls killed in the SF Bay area in 1976. These are the Gypsy Hill cases. Gypsy Hill killings - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Do I think Halbower deserves to be killed by the State of CA or Nevada or some other state where he also probably committed capital crimes. Of course! On the broader scale though, I worry about the State getting the wrong person as they did with Cathy Woods-- the paranoid schizophrenic woman who made that false confession in LA around 1979. I was in Reno, Nevada back then so I certainly remember it. |
