Default Is it possible to make an offer for an new home in TV?

I've looked at many new homes different styles. Soon I'll be ready to buy a home. With the economy like it is, seems like making an offer could be possible..

In a word, no. I've never heard TV willing to accept offers on new construction. Generally the procedure is, 'This is the price.' End of discussion....

NO contingencies, no change of closing date, except for a few days. Set amount down. Amen. WHY? Because they can. They have a sellable item. I don't blame them. It works fine.

Go ahead and try. It's the biggest reason you will be driven immediately to the resale market.

Unless TV has changed their business model, no. They will tell you what it will cost you and if you don't agree, you can take a walk as far as TV is concerned. Not how I would prefer to do business, but that's the way it is in TV.

You could do otherwise in resale market....

Good Luck,

You know, it didn't make us want to buy a resale, not that there's anything wrong with that, we knew, we had been told how it worked. We looked and looked and looked, mostly without a rep. Looked in windows, went to open houses, and bought a new house. We are very pleased.

Having bought a new designer in Hadley two weeks ago - the answer is NO! Having said that they are much more flexible in their packages than in the past. You also get no choice in the closing date - although I've seen some specials around that also.

Even though this may seem inflexible - we were very pleased with our buying experience. But, we researched this for almost two years and knew what to expect.

If you are flexible, they can be a bit flexible. Say you like Model ABC. You ask the sales rep if he can deal. Likely, he will say no, but he may tell you that there is a Model ABC in the neighboring Village for a similar price but includes a furniture package or has an X thousand dollar credit. They like to finish off areas, and sometimes will offer a deal on specific units to complete a block or a section.

Of course you can make an offer but the answer will be no. They know what they want and what they can get. Just buy and enjoy your life here. I can't believe I really live in a place like this and I have been here 7 + years.
