What did you do in TV today.
Several times I've seen people contemplating a move to TV be concerned about what to do here in TV. The typical answer is there is 400-600 clubs. However it maybe more meaningful if we all just said what we did today. Pick any day.
If we get enough response it will put to rest the fear of being bored. Let's give it a try. |

Re: What did you do in TV today.
Well, today I went to the Markets of Marion with two great new friends, Nonie and Barefoot. This week alone, went to Gi-long (exercise) lunch at Johnny Rockets, Parapsychology Club then lunch again. Tomorrow night, dinner with 2 other couples, Sunday night, dinner and a casino event at Savannah Center. Last weekend a dinner party on Sat and a Golfcart Poker Run on Sunday. lol My daughter wrote me an email today and asked what I was doing because my life was much more exciting than hers! I can't imagine anyone getting bored at TV. It truly is a adult playground. We love it more each day.

Re: What did you do in TV today.
Played golf at an Excecutive course with three good friends then went to lunch with them at Glenview. Rested for a couple hours and then went to Spanish Springs and danced and watched the wild and crazy Scooter. Went to Margarita Republic and had a light dinner.

Re: What did you do in TV today.
Yesterday I went to see The Bucket List at the Rialto here in TV. The theater was packed with only a few seats at the very front empty.
Before, seeing The Bucket List I had picked up two bratwursts at the Johnsonville Big Taste Grill which is at a nearby Albertson's close to Spanish Springs Square. The is the second year that the Johnsonville Big Taste Grill has been in the Villages. It seems to come here around my birthday of February 24. Prior to that, I had been at the Doggie Doo Run Run with my dog Sport for about two hours watching him romp and stomp with the small dogs while I listened to various dog owners talk about dogs, house closings, furniture brands, and politics. |

Re: What did you do in TV today.
Yesterday, Friday, played Pickleball at Saddlebrook from 7:30 to 9:00am. Volunteer Pickleball instructor at Truman from 10:00 to 11:30am. Wife played golf from 11:00 to 1:00. Initial meeting of the new PAC (pickleball advisory committee) at Lake Miona center from 2:00 to 3:00pm. (the word most attributed to pickleball in the villages is addictive). Wifey and I went to the Wellness Center from 4:00 to 5:00, the hot tub at the end of our workout is my favorite part. Just happened to meet up with neighbors at the Wellness Center and decided to go to the new Big City Grill for dinner with them. Scheduled to go out to see The Bucket List with same neighbors next Tuesday.
Today, Saturday morning, I know most people in the villages are experiencing cabin fever as we are having a very uncharacteristic thunder storm. So no one can go out and play. The greatest assett of the villages is its people. I swear they put something in our drinking water here to make everyone so nice, friendly, and active. |

Re: What did you do in TV today.
7:30 did a 6 mile walk / run. Trying to get back into running and managed 1 mile run. Golfed - did great (beginner) 1 over par except one really bad sand trap. Did some landscape work and leaf raking. Went to doggie park and walked the dogs. Talked to Comcat about signing up for better service. A little wine-ing and off to Taki's for chicken piccata back home and checked out TOTV.
Richie - miss you down here. As they say "COME ON DOWN" |

Re: What did you do in TV today.
And we are spending our day packing so we can spend a month at TV!! Yea!!!! Once there we will play golf, tennis, try pickle ball (something more addictive than TOTV?), ride bikes, dance in the squares, have hordes of visitors. Oh, yes, I also have to bring my computer so I can work. Bummer.

Re: What did you do in TV today.
Gemorc,
I have a tendency to exaggerate. I dont think Chels was really on the putter for 16 hours, at least not all in one day!

Re: What did you do in TV today.
Bernie - 1 over par and you are a beginner? Either you cheat or lie or are a tremendous athlete. I assume athlete since no one on TOTV would be a cheat or lier. :joke:
