I was wondering about water in the hot water heater tank? We took some showers (mouth closed, which is harder than I thought ). SO the water in the tank will remain contaminated until..... I assume the tank empties?

Would have been nice if they gave us a little more information -
For example - Water boiling alert lifted - tests showed that there were no contaminants in the water therefore the alert is lifted. Seeing as the samples were taken yesterday I would hazard a guess that the water has been safe all along but by government guidelines they had to have it tested and issue the boil water alert once it got to that low level.

I just had a call from the Sheriff's dept on the emegency call on both our home phone and cell phone. It is official...the boil order has been recinded. Now if TV would have only had this done when it first started, it would have saved so much worry and hassels..But at least TV did it right this time and perhaps learned from their mistake..CHEERS EVERYONE and great job TOTV'ers

Yes!
Me too! Plus a text and phone call and cell phone call! Why couldn't they've done this for the warning? Great work gang!

Is there a problem with the water in the Villages or was this a one time thing. I really would have to reconsider TV if there is an on going problem with water!

The fact that the initial warning was handled so clumsily would indicate that this doesn't happen often or perhaps never before - they clearly did not have a good idea about how to handle the communication. The fact that many of us expressed our concern about how this was handled initially and that they got there act together for the rescission notice tells me that this was a first-time learning experience for them. I don't expect trouble like this (the lack of broad communication) to repeat itself.
