Default Precious Cargo

Its that wonderful time of the year when, many villagers have friends & family visiting for the holidays

Please if a child has to be held in your arms or their feet can't reach the floor, leave the golf cart at home and take your car ( even if your cart has seat belts)

Some of the things I saw yesterday in Golf Carts would win the $10,000 on Americas Funniest Videos. Truthfully most were sad, not funny. It will never stop we just have to hope we are not involved in their stupidity. After what I've read on here over the years I had my son rent a cart in his own name just in case. Good advice Chatbrat.

We've all seen carts with too many people crammed on to them. I've seen grown-ups standing on the back where the clubs are stored. What Chatbrat says has so much merit. Using common sense is key!!!

You can repeat this a million times but people aren’t going to listen. Kids love golf carts. Visitors think it is cool to not be in a car. Grandparents want to be heroes. So, overloaded carts become the norm during school breaks and holidays. Kids driving with grandparent or even a parent are the norm. Best you can do is get past them very carefully and say a soft prayer they will get to their destinations safely.

I once loaned my cart to a friend’s son, who has two wonderful girls (9 and 12 at the time), with the rule only dad was to drive the cart. I found out later that he let the girls drive. The oldest ran right into someone’s yard. Fortunately, the cart didn’t tip over. I learned my lesson. Never again will my cart go out without me.

Doesn't do any good to post it here. Nobody who posts here ever does anything dumb in a golf cart, lets their dog go on other's property, or tips less than 30%.

LOL so true. Many here remember their glory days as hall monitors and enjoy explaining things to the rest of us.

Kudos to Chatbrat for emphasizing that golf carts aren't toys.
If even one grandparent heeds your warning, you can be proud.

A friend saw a little girl fall off a golf cart and picked her up (unhurt) by the time she caught up with the cart, they hadn’t even realized the child was missing!

That's a truly shocking story.

What scares me is when I see someone holding a baby on their lap.
