What is a high rate of speed? And how does anyone know what speed the Cart was going? Did you ask both the kids and the bowler? Lived here 11 years and would never go thru a tunnel unless I am in a golf cart. The bowler should have known better. Hope he or she is OK. 10 or 11 deaths in golf carts in The Villages and none had to do with kids, all adults.

We do not allow them to drive the golf carts unless we are seated next to them.[/QUOTE]

I saw two twenty somethings in a cart with a grandparent. They were wearing short pants and white knee socks and beanies with propellers. :sing::sing::sing:

GG you need to let those kid out by themselves. Actually our oldest will not drive the cart says it makes him uncomfortable with cars driving next to him.

TV is tough for walkers. We like Lake Okahumpka much better.

Yes resident was in a GOLF cart coming toward end of tunnel. Residents cart was hit and pushed into wall and then overturned.

Resident WAS NOT walking. Carts were destroyed. All went to hospital. Resident went thru extensive surgery and rehab. I still have the pictures of the carts in the tunnel, and no not taken by any involved.

So not sure how you can overturn a person, maybe run them over, run into, squish, but over turn, not so much.

I try to post so someone does not add incorrect information

They have cars. They drive cars. They can drive our cars.

I hope that the resident that you know is better. Things do happen here and we certainly don't want them to happen to anyone we know or love...or anyone for that matter.

Be safe. Traffic will be much lighter in a week.

I am 4 days post op spinal fusion. Thanks Mr neighbor for not giving me a chance to put on a seat belt HMMM... You a cowboy recklessly hitting a left hand turn as we exited the Recreation Center, leaving me laying in blood, not calling 911.... And a few short weeks ago making a sharp left hand turn at high speed on our street corner nearly hitting my friends car while you wife was the potential victim passenger on this ride. How many more reckless rides with your radio blasting through our Village will it take before you learn to say something more when approached than "Um I am sorry" with a no care look on your face. Dont you think your building quite a reputation here? When will your behavior change?

When the police and courts get involved.

To Salgent, was your car/cart hit while you were stopped--before starting any vehicle -put on your seat belt on--then start your engine--also you cancel the state to report bad driving

Chatbrat 04-02-2018 01:52 PM

Guess you can't be COOL in a golf cart, if you're strapped in

JSR22 04-02-2018 01:57 PM

Nope

That is not what happened. He was reaching for the seat belt and the driver took off. He uses seat belts.

I know the poster and the post is true. He had spinal surgery last week because of an injury falling out of a golf cart.

I would think a call to Dewey Cheaten and Howe will knock the cowboy off his horse a lot quicker than posting it here. My radar still says there is a blip on the screen that I don't comprehend.

Chatbrat 04-02-2018 02:16 PM

Unless the driver was real close & I mean close--I would sue him into oblivion--one very important ?--were they @ the 19th hole

When I used to play in a senior golf league, I hated it when the driver would take off before I had fully sat down because it would jar my back.

Golf carts are dangerous. I had a fried who was seriously injured when he was rear-ended by another cart when he was parked.

thetruth 04-02-2018 07:25 PM

Was gonna keep my mouth shut

Sadly we cannot undo what has been done.

Sadly, we, INCLUDING ME, see only dumb acts. Most people drive properly and we do not notice.

I drive a car, a golf cart, ride a bike and walk. I perhaps to save an accident if you are walking, riding a bike etc WEAR BRIGHT CLOTHES. I've seen people walking two and three across in the tunnels in dark clothes walking in the same direction as traffic. ANY THOUGHT? ANY CONSIDERATION OF THEMSELVES OR OTHERS?

RULES-LAWS-they are written in an attempt to protect some of you from your own stupidity-FOLLOW THEM.
PERHAPS, realize that other people INCLUDING YOURSELF are not as great as you think you are.

LET HE WITHOUT SIN THROW THE FIRST STONE-NO NEW THOUGHTS JUST PERHaps a not gentile reminder. There are very few,"accidents." If, two drivers, a driver and a pendestiran either in almost all cases could have, IF, THEY WERE PAYING ATTENTION, avoided the impact
