In other words it gives the Insurance Companies a license to steal

How is cracking down on frivolous lawsuits giving the insurance companies a license to steal? Doesn't the current system give the injury attorneys a license to steal?

Yes ours went way up. Thanks to a woman at Farmers, she told me how to get it down. I would use Farmers but I have my car insurance through my union and I can’t write my house through my union. It’s complicated

I've been a customer of USAA since the mid-70s. I moved here 3 years ago, and had no trouble getting a new homeowners policy in 2019.

That said, I was curious, and called USAA this morning (March 7, 2023). Yes, they ARE still writing new policies here for service members, as well as renewing them. I encourage interested existing clients of USAA to give them a call and confirm if you are shopping for Homeowners Insurance.

I applied for USAA a couple of weeks ago. First attempt was online which was not accepted, and they provided a phone number to call customer service. Called USAA and the service rep could see I had applied online. She asked me all the questions I had been asked online. Result...your application is denied because of excessive wind damage in Florida.

Not the case at all. 22 year old designer with a pool and we pay $1000/year with Farmers.
