Default Question for Villages Bicyclists and higher speed vehicle operators

I think I get the idea of Share The Road signs posted along the area roads, but haven't figured out why bicyclists ride on Village Roads when there are multi-modal paths adjacent to these roads. Aren't they safer? After someone explains that, maybe they could then explain why Florida licensed Motor Scooters and registered NEV's and LSV's capable of higher speeds than golf carts, ride on the multimodal paths instead of TV roads? Final question, why do some golf cart drivers travel around the Morse Circle in a clockwise direction? :dontknow:

Let's see, I know I did the circle drive the wrong way once out of stupidity. Won't make that mistake again!

I just got a scooter for my daughter. As yet, I'm driving it until she's more comfortable with it. It is capable of being driven on the road but I'm not. So, the golf cart and multi-modal paths are it for me for now. Even once I'm used to being on a scooter (motorcycles are so much easier rofl), I'll probably stick with the paths because there are some really crazy drivers on the road here and the paths just feel a little safer.

Can't explain about bicyclists. I know that when I used to ride, I preferred the road to the paths -- had to dodge too many runners and the like plus the road were better maintained and had less debris on them.
Army/embassy brat - traveled too much to mention
