If you mean renting a house you own, I have doen that. I rented mine for long term (6 mos to 1 year), unfurnished. I didn't want to furnish it since I would be using it in the near future. I didn't have a problem finding long term renters. In fact, I understand that that there is a demand for long term renters. I found that I made more money than renting short term during the winter season.

Thanks, that is a big help as we have been thinking of doing that also. Did you use any of the local management companies? If so, were you happy w/them? Or did you just advertise in the Daily Sun?

If you have a house you want to rnet I may be able to help. We have had up to two houses in TV that we have rented out since 2003. We are now down to one house and will stop renting it in April this year. Not because of any thing bad, we are retiring for good in December 2012 and want some time to fix the house "our way".

If you want to talk about renting (pros and cons), send me a PM and I'll give you a phone number.
