The car will fill up to the value on the Gas Card - when the maximum $ on the card has hit the pump will stop. If the tank is full before the $ are4 used up a balance will be left on the card. You should have looked at your gas gauge. If it wasn't full then shut the pump off and put in another form of payment to complete the fill.

Did your gas card show $$$ deduction and the amount of gallons deposited into your tank?

I hate to point this out...but the OP has not come back to clarify anything about this incident including what the gas gauge said. The last thread she started was about dropping her gate pass and the attendant wouldn't open the gate. Perhaps the world is moving at a little quicker speed than the OP is accustomed to.

Not sure why there is a need for clarification. The note did say the card usage continued to show the amount as it rang up the sale. I can explain the circumstances surrounding the questions but I can't help you understand them. I did not identify the gate since I did not want to fire up a witch hunt and instead would hope the responsible Gate Management would address the role and required consistent behavior for Gate workers. I explained the gas concern in some detail and received some very good responses as to how/why it happened. :popcorn:

Did your dashboard actually show a full tank when you drove away or did you assume that it was full because that's what you were expecting?

There is a lot of missing information. "A gas card," we get what may be called a gift card from our credit card sand purchased from Publix. They have fixed balance. With such a card, you may not have enough remaining on the card to purchase much gas. A credit card, perhaps you've exceeded your credit limit. The post does not say what your fuel gauge showed.

As far as they couldn't care less. I don't think that is fair. What would you expect them to do?

Like anything else your fuel gauge can fail.

Like was stated. 20%. You get $50 in gas for $40...

You buy them from the cashier. You can buy one for every $50 (I think) spent...

We got out discount card last week, no coupons needed. The cashier just asked if we wanted to purchase them...

She also said we had a choice of gas stations. We chose Marathon because the one in Lake Deaton Plaza is closest to our home...
