the villages Tea Party sent a notice to all their members so that is why i was able to post about it...was a very nice ceremony and i especially enjoyed the Blue Knights riding their bikes around the square and Dawn Di Nome's singing, of course!

It is to bad that some people had to bring their agenda mounted on hate signs to a rally that was meant to HONOR our protectors, You should be ashamed. God bless all of our police, military, 1st responders, volunteers and those who have fallen in duty to protect us.And God Bless America!

It was good to have a rally for the police officers to show community support.

I did not see any opposition signs but you do have to remember they have their Constitutional rights to free speech and peaceful assembly, too.

Everyone should remember their good feelings toward police officers the next time you are stopped for running a stop sign or speeding in The Villages. I remember many, many posts in the past regarding the thought of The Villages being a "cash cow" for local police nailing them for minor infractions. Next time that happens, remember this rally for police support!

It was good to see my Hometown The Bronx represented. These Heroes deserved their day in the sun.

I saw the threads yesterday after the event. I hadn't been on TOTV for a couple of days. Would have liked to be there. First Responders deserve any small token of support for the many sacrifices and potential dangers they face to make our lives safer.
