TOTV acts as a useful sounding board to see if others are experiencing similar problems.

If your experience turns out to be a one-off then it can best be forgotten. However, if others have had similar experiences then it inspires one to follow up with the authorities and seek a resolution.

Decrying people for wasting your time by ranting, when the OP clearly told us it was a rant, seems rather perverse. If you don't want to read a rant, don't open posts that tell you that they are rants.

Tomwed wasn't "decrying people" with his Rant Control post, I think he was merely trying to "lighten" the thread with a bit of humor. :laugh:
