I do not agree. Many repeats succeed, simply because many people like their food and prices.

Businesses SUCCEED because of popularity and repeat business that is tailored to the market.

What a few people want and would frequent, although excellent, may be too expensive for this market to keep afloat. That doesn't mean either side is WRONG.

Many who read this forum are realistic. I would take good chains over the pseudo country club fare here in SOME places. I love Cane Garden, not because it is amazingly good, but because it fulfills our expectation for food and price. It is decent food and dependable food and always nice help.

If you don't know what White Castle is please take my word for it to die for is the correct thing to say about the food. Hamburgers are commonly known as Sliders!

Harold's would be my second choice, Pinball Wizard is a Culinary Genius. A combo of both restaurants would be great.
White Castle!!!!!!! Love it!!!!!

Lets get a Mexican restaurant there, such as On The Border. Perhaps if The Villages would relax the rent these restaurants are
charged, the prices will come down and they may become successful.

The rent issue, all too often offered as an excuse for failure, has nothing to do with why the restaurants fail in TV.

Patrons do not decide whether to frequent an establishment, or not, based on the rent!

Way too small for Cheese Cake Factory. They couldn't even fit the menus in that space. House of Wings. Really?

TGIF failed due to competition and the adultering of alcohol scandal in the chain, Honest John's failed to lack of hands on mgt--the owner could not manage a third restaurant & Guy's failed because it was a perfect storm --lousy food, lousy help, and lousy management--it went under in record time--

How about make it like "the angler's club" where you can become member, and guarantee spending so much on a monthly basis--enough of the LCD that is prevalent--there are lots of people in TV who would support something like this--there are more than enough of the same O, same O restaurants

LOL, They lasted about a year longer than I thought they would. I think they misjudged their clientele. My one experience there was horrible. Need "popular priced" restaurants with early-bird specials and lots of discount coupons to survive here. Anything high-end (other than a small bistro type place) is doomed to fail.

How about an Aurelio's Pizza. They are a Chicago area higher scale pizza restaurant than Bravo's, and they are now in Florida. The size of the building is just right, and we don't have many really good pizza restaurants in The Villages. It is similar to UNO's, and I suspect would be sustainable here in The Villages with so many people from the midwest.
