I was in an industrial accident many years ago. I have a State Placard to have space to get out of my vehicle, I don’t need one to golf. Everybody has a different story!

Disclaimer: I don't play golf but I always wondered why so many carts are all over the fairways here and right up to the greens. Never noticed that up north on the local county courses when we went to the park.

*Please note the 80% number I used above was just pulled out of the, errr, AIR and was not meant to have any basis in reality. Sorry if that caused any users any discomfort by thinking it was an actual statistic! :1rotfl:

Your Dr has a form from Motor Vehicle Dept for temporary handicap sticker and can be hand carried to MV by you friend or spouse. IT’s FREE.

RA tags have rules to follow. If ambassadors have no power, get rid of them.

Carole clausen 12-02-2020 02:18 PM

I also had knee replacement. If I could walk to my ball, I did. The handicap tag gave me the opportunity to play. With complications it took a year to not need the tag. I was so grateful for having the opportunity to play. Some may abuse, but for the rest of us it was a life saver.

Not to my knowledge, but we were told that if things start to heat up we call the outside manager on duty. Golfers are not permitted to “abuse” the staff. Now let me count the number of times I‘be been called a bitch. I smile and tell the moron to have a nice day.

And therein lies the problem. Whenever a benefit is provided to some because they need it, there are others who try to game the system for a free lunch. The only solution is enforcement. Unfortunately, enforcement sometimes leads to confrontation. The ambassadors are there to help, not to abuse. In 7 years of playing golf in TV, I've only seen one ambassador who was out of line, but dozens if not hundreds of golfers abuse them. Pretty sad, since the ambassador is correct 99.9% of the time. The aggregate time these golfers spend arguing with the ambassador could be better spent at the range, considering I've never seen a good golfer break the rules or argue

I seriously doubt that all 4 had heart problems but I do agree that their problem was internal, more like between the ears.
How much common sense does it take to not park (both carts) between a sand trap and the green. They could not have been more than 3-4 feet from the green

Heart problems are not visible

If a person has a heart in that poor of a condition that they can't walk 20 steps they shouldn't be playing golf let alone driving a golf cart or a motor vehicle.

I've said this before, tell me how much fun golf is.

And most, if not all ambassadors, are our neighbors.😀

My daughter is a btk amputee, and I can’t even guess the number of times people have openly criticized her for being a “perfectly healthy young woman” taking up a handicapped space. Number one: mind your own business!!! Anymore she just raises her pant leg and walks away. Every step she takes hurts, and how dare people openly criticize her just because she looks healthy.
