No one is trying to trick you or cheat you. It is a normal, common, easy to learn thing if you simply googled it instead of decried the builder as evil. Bing even auto suggested the second half when I typed "what is a resort (suggested style pool)".

So yourself a favor, before you rage, search.

These are all "resort style" pools. Umbrellas must not be something a resort would have. Curious how they define "resort".

Keywords: Resort style POOL. Those pools are resort style, but not the area. Around the pool is the resort, thus the same style of decoration you get throughout the resort.

Don't most, if not all, of the pools have a covered area where you can escape the sun?

2 that I go to have wood structures with roofs and even fans in their ceilings. That's enough shade for me.

Geeze!

BTW….do you even use any if the pools?

Most could be called walking or wading pools. Funny how at the beginning of your life you start out in a wading pool and then at the end of your life, you are back to the wading pool.

They should always use accurate descriptions throughout their work life. When they embellish to the point where they publish false information, they may fool the newbies, but they insult everyone who knows the real truth.
Since they have a history of spinning things with inaccurate information, whenever they put out information, it becomes a question of what really is the truth, and much is a make up exaggerated lie again. Anyone that blindly believes everything they say is simply being deceived.

Apparently even calling them "swimming pools" would trigger the "you cannot swim in an adult pool" arguments.

I have developed a sort of compromise to the swimming in an adult pool. I can move my arms forward in an overhand swimming stroke, but then, do a push backward stroke under water. Which gives me the swimming exercise while being mostly motionless and taking up very little of the pool.

Umbrellas can "Fly" when the wind comes up, so they are a hazard in gusty conditions. Consequently, most Rec Center's pool areas have permanent structures that provide shade.

We haven’t gone to either pool to swim, but want to try Cattail eventually because it’s next to Edna’s if you get hungry, and you can probably hear the music somewhat. We go to Fenney Grill often, and I agree the pool is always packed. That’s a turn off to me, so we avoid it. Cattail is actually closer to home for us, but WaterLily is the closest so we go there most of the time because our DeLuna adult pool is always crowded with the same gang.

Our neighbor told us yesterday that he and his wife go to Fenney pool at 8am every Sunday morning for breakfast and a swim. He said it’s quiet for a couple of hours before the kids start arriving. If I was a morning person I’d consider it, but I’m not and never will be, lol.

Our pool in DeLuna has a lot of shade cover, but the pool is too crowded for our liking, so we go elsewhere when we do swim. We swim rarely though during July/August since the pools are about 96°. Not enjoyable.

Many have umbrellas in their birdcage and pool area. Anyone have an issue with your umbrella flying through the air? Sunday and Monday comes to mind with the wind gusts from Debbie.

The CC pools have better shade opportunities, that we used for years before pool build. We are still considering sails instead of umbrellas.

This morning I chilled our pool to 82° so worth having a Chiller, plus less chemicals to deal with.

Not to take air out of my own question, however, I'm sure the expense of providing and replacing umbrellas for all these pools would be enormous. Just curious if anyone knew any other reason.

Most of the pools have covering with tables and chairs and ceiling fans. I think that's better than umbrellas!
