I don’t believe the price has anything to do with it, what else can you do for a little more then a dollar a day and get so many different benefits like socialization, mental health and physical fitness . There are quite a few people who go to MVP , many others utilize the outside the villages gyms. I went to MVP for years but they have become very crowded and I didn’t use the classes because I like to do my aerobic work out side( running, bike, walk ) and yes even in summer and always in afternoon, so I go to Planet Fitness in Leesburg , lots of equipment ,I never have to wait for anything and I didn’t join for price but it’s pretty good , I think I pay about $10 a month , just str8 down 44 take a left and on left side there is a Publix shopping center it on the far end , looks small outside but very big . I suspect the new fitness centers will fill up just like the older ones have but no matter where you go just keep going I’m still at it everyday at 82

The best one

The best one will be the one with the least amount of persons in the facility when you are there.

Best to do some homework on this one. I did and decided to go to an outside the “bubble gym”. Much more equipment and never a wait to use a piece of equipment.

Where is the 24hr you mention? What town? I'm moving to The Villages next year and I'm already a 24hr member.

They are probably referring to Anytime fitness on 44 between Morse and Buenavista vista. There was a 24/7 on 301 but it went under a few months ago.

The one on 44 is nice and much less expensive option

The free gym from insurer is great for people and for gyms, but I have found that places become very crowded when a gym starts accepting the policy. I stopped going to MVP when they started taking silver sneakers , to many people that would only show up once in a while and then camp on machines or benches and socialize , it’s there right but it makes workouts longer , same thing happened in the place on 301 many regulars left including me because of accepting the insurance policy . Don’t get me wrong I think those programs are great and some people become lifelong exercisers but many just like anything that’s free waste there time and others . I didn’t whine or complain when these changers happened I just moved on
