Regripping golf clubs
We have two sets of clubs that need new grips. Would like recommendations as to the best place to go and about how much it would cost. Thanks for any help.

We have been very satisfied with Sarasota Golf Shop. Grip are usually $6/$8 each and up. Installation included.

Do it yourself, easy. You can order everything online from “Carol’s grips for less “.com and get the best grips .

Birdies golf on 466 east. 6 to 8 bucks (depends on grip selected) including installation. Usually do it while you wait.

As usual, looks like you are going to get plenty of advice...LOL ! We've used Edwin Watts for years, but I am sure the technician(s) they use change for time to time. My tip... they have coupon in their catalog or mailing list from time to time for savings on re-gripping. Just had mine done with my favorite grips ($7.99) plus $2 per club, without a sale going on. However, you can get grips for MUCH less, depends on your requirements. As for doing it yourself...well, some advocate that, but you do really need a GOOD vice and there is no room for error. If you make a slight "slip" it could throw your entire grip off. Hubby has done some for the grands; cutting down and gripping old sets of ours. Up to you what the time is worth, but yes, we have used Ed Watts for years and years when we lived in south Florida and now here. Never had a complaint or anything even slightly "off" the "arrow"... so there's another recommendation

I've used the golf store in Brownwood a few times. It was 10 bucks a club if I remember right.

The golf shop on 466 near Morse is the best and least expensive. Large selection of grips and labor is free.

Do a search for golf club grips on amazon, a product comes up that you wind over the old grips, easy and quick, I’ve used them and like them.

You don't need a vice to change golf club grips. You only need is a utility knife with a hook blade to cut the old grip off. Order the grips and tape on-line. If the tape needs solvent, some use water, buy a can of naptha at Ace. Youtube is your friend.

I just put a new set of grips on mine my self. I cut the old grips off and put the new ones on using my air compressor. Check it out on YouTube. Clubs are dry and ready to play. No messy solution. |

Golf grips
If cost is an issue use Amazon.com to purchase the grips and watch the many u-tube videos to learn how to regrip. It take a little practice (2-3 tries) but well worth the effort.
12-14 grips for $25-$35 including the 2 sided tape. I regrip every year including my friends clubs and cost ends up about $30-$40 for the set. |

Every place I went to get my clubs regripped, it was in the price of the grips. Besides now I do my own, it’s very simple. The hardest part is taking the old ones off & getting new grips on all the same way.
