It will take a little work but you will get a better dollar for the firearms by selling them on gunbroker.com Several pictures from different angle will be necessary.

Good advice, and checking out the listings on Gunbroker
will give you a better idea of the value of your firearms.

I’m interested in possibly buying some depending on what they are. I used to shoot IPSC competition and I’ve had my concealed carry since the 80s.thanks . Jim

Used guns don't have much value here, pawn shops have to make a profit, otherwise people would just go and buy new.

Pawnshops will generally pay about 50% of the current "used gun market value" for your used gun. Hunting guns don't seem to have much resale value in this area.

Selling a gun to any dealer/reseller is going to result in a fairly steep discount as to what it might sell for directly to an individual (end user). It all depends on how much you value your time and want to avoid the possible hassle of negotiating and dealing with "tire kickers" who will waste your time with lowball offers.

IMO, your best bet is to find out about what it's used value is and then try to sell it yourself for about 75% of that value. You aren't likely to do any better, if as well, by selling it to a dealer.

Well, "rob" is a stretch. Pawn shops are in business to make money so of course they won't pay what the gun is worth, but you can expect to get 75% to 85% of what the gun is worth at retail if you sell to a pawn shop. ("Pawnshops typically aim to generate overall net profit margins of at least 15% to 25%", Investopedia).

It helps to know what the gun is worth before bargaining with a pawn shop that would be interested in buying it because guns vary so much on make, model, condition, etc. A person would be foolish to NOT have that knowledge when selling a gun, be it to a pawn shop, gun dealer or private party.

No it’s not you be lucky to get 10 cents on dollar from pawn shops [AKA fencing stolen property legally] IMO.

Keep in mind that unless you sell to someone that really wants the guns for him or herself that the others will all be re-sellers and will be offering a wholesale price. I still have no regrets selling mine to Nordic. I also so a bunch of gold and silver to his mother that was working the jewelry counter at the time.

IMO pawn shops are like car dealers, they not going to trade/buy unless they see Hugh profit at end of the tunnel which might be strength setting on shelf for while.
