Default Relay for life at the higj school last night.

Another spectacular event with record setting attendance.

A negative for me, since all things flag and country respect are my highest priorities.....during the opening with the Star Spangled Banner....far, far, FAR too many elder men in the crowd that do not remove their hats....when they are next to me I tell them about it. Secondly far, far, FAR too many elder women babbling on their cell phones. Both cases of disrespect.

The above aside....Relay for Life....mission accomplished....AGAIN!!!

btk...thank you for mentioning the Relay for Life as I would like to thank those folks who worked so hard to create this very worthy event. I was touched by the many Survivors as well as the Caretakers, and I was honored to take part in this years Relay for Life in The Villages.

Fantastic and very touching event. Had a decent group from our neighborhood attend for both walking and donations that we had collected. Wish we had known about the survivor shirts given out at the opening as my wife would have proudly worn one.

A very worthy cause that I support in memory of my wife of 42 years.

I may have missed the newspaper article, does anyone know who the lucky
winner of the streetrod golf cart was?
