Default removing window screens

Okay, I feel foolish but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to remove the screens in this house. It was built in 2004 and I'm sure the screens are just standard Village home screens for that period. The tabs are at the top inside and do not seem to slide so I assume they are just pull tabs. Any words of wisdom?

Mine are removed from the inside. Sometimes they don't want to move easily, and a takes a bit of persuation. Slide them up and take the bottom out first.

Thanks for the suggestion but these must be different. They cannot be pushed up a fraction of an inch and they cannot be pushed outward or pulled inward. It seems there is something locking them in but I cannot find any pins. I am baffled. I'm sure it's going to be something simple in the end.

If the tabs are on top the screens are in upside down you will have to pull down and than push out from the top.

Try taking a flat screwdriver or putty knife and lifting the screen slightly from the bottom -- either from outside which might be easier than from the inside.

There are little plastic keepers on the top inside. Push them sideways with your finger or a screwdriver and unlock them and the screens will come out to the inside

yes, the black little plastic keepers on the top inside must be pushed down only about 1/4 inch then push screen down and pull toward the inside, and do this all from inside the house.

But on mine, you also have to disengage the top keepers on the bottom sash and tilt the sash inward to have the necessary room to remove the screen.
