I would say rent first as there are a lot of little things that will come into play with your decision. I am renting for the month of December and am in a CV or is it a PV (not sure of the difference). There are some things I like about it and others I do not. My truck will not fit into the 1 1/2 car garage as it is to long, Ford F-150 extended cab with 6 foot bed. With it parked in the short drive while off the street I cannot get a golf cart in the garage. This is something I mentioned to my sales rep. When looking at homes for me a 2 car garage is a must.

Had our visit to TV rudely interrupted by this real estate market:cus:
No sooner did we arrive at the patio villa we stayed at when our realtor called and advised us that the bank wanted to get into the house for an appraisal and the buyers wanted an extension to get their mortgage.
Long story short we are still waiting to see if we sold our house!
If the deal goes through we will close on or about 3/5/09.


Guess we'll miss the February luncheon. Keep your fingers crossed, please.

Seems like in this market the fat lady doesn't only have to sing, she has to get her roses, take her final bow, and leave the building before you can be sure of anything.

Looks like we have a deal!
 

Buyers got their mortgage and we are scheduled to close on our house on or about March 1, 2009.
The good angel won. We decided that we are going to rent for 3 months and look for a house.
There was just too much to choose from and too many decisions to make in the
week we were in TV, and after the stress of selling and moving we are going to need a rest!

I'm now going to post in the "looking to rent" section of the Forum.
