Default Reprogramming MVP Allstar Garage remote

Has anyone had any luck reprogramming their garage door opener on an older mvp allstar garage door opener unit? If so what is the procedure? My remote has a center button for up and down and a button with a plus sign and a button with a negative sign. The battery was going dead and the plus and minus signs were pressed To get it to work the plus and minus has to be pressed several different times and eventually it functions correctly. You have to try different sequences everytime you use it. Any suggestions?

Found this on the internet. Don't know if it is for your remote but may help.

Your link is the instructions that Romac emailed me a few years ago. To the OP, read the instructions 2 or 3 times, then follow them step by step. You should have no problem reprogramming the remote.

I read them 5 times and still can't understand the part about which button to press for each number for the 9 digit code.

You'll have to decide what your nine digit code will be before you begin programming, and write it down. Your code will look something like this:
+ + 0 - - 0 + 0 - once you follow the instructions to put your remote in program mode, enter your 9 digit code exactly as you have written it. Then complete the process per instructions. Note, use the + - 0 buttons on your remote to enter your code . Good luck.

I am not an idiot, but that stuff sure made me feel like one. I gave up and called Ryan O'Cull (352-617-0522). He charged me $35 to get it working again and reprogram 3 remotes. It was worth it. I didn't wind up pulling all my hair out or having a heart attack.
