However I was only wrong on the Agreement part. There is no Agreement only because there is no need to have one. So for your information and all of those who are so, " Concerned " can take this to the bank. The Swimming Pool Restrooms are considered " Public Restrooms " and therefore are accessible to Everyone, yes Everyone. Now here is the Telephone number ( 352-753-4022 ) that you and everyone else who happens to find that " Contractors " do not have a right to use the Restroom Facilities. Well that is just too bad, simply because they have every right to. So put your trusty camera and notebook away..and have a bit more compassion for who those are trying to scratch out a living for themselves and their families. Who knows it may make you feel better. Oh and here is the telephone number again. ( 352-753-4022 ). :plane: |

Actually the rules are next to the restroom. And the person who posted the telephone numbers has their info misguided.
- MUST HAVE VILLAGES ID OR VALID GUEST ID & PHOTO ID I read this as to use the pool and the facilities. Doesn't look like a public restroom to me. Trusty camera for the win |

The restrooms and drinking fountain are outside the gates and therefore are public. I often see trucks such as tree trimmers, lawn service, and even garbage trucks stopped along Talley Ridge by the 7th green on Fox Run to use the restroom. So what? These people have jobs. They are providing services for us. We can at least provide a bathroom at a rec centre or golf course. |

Plus the fact obviously you are not content with the honest reply that I gave. So with that in mind.. I am not going to waste anymore time with people like yourself. I posted the information and you completely ignored it. Telephone D P M.. ( 352-753-4022 ) and they will set you straight on the real problem that you have with Contractors using the Swimming Pool Restrooms. The photo that you posted is meaningless the Swimming Pool Restrooms .....Are... PUBLIC RESTROOMS.. Period ! The above telephone number is available 8:00 til 5:00 M-F, and you will be able to voice your concerns or grievance to that person(s). The End :spoken: |

And no, swimming pool restrooms are not public. Heck, TV isn't public, we are a gated community. Shouldn't this be brought up or are some things verboten? |

But there is no one there checking ID's. You open the gate and walkin. At many of the pools there are shuffleboard, bocce ball and pickleball courts. These folks would walkin and use the same restrooms. Remind me 6 pages later, what is the OP's main problem with "outsiders" using the restrooms?
|
okay. So it came across hard, but they were only questions to see what people think, and the few of the 100,000 people in TV think it is okay.

In your original post you mentioned that the person..."seemed to be in the bathroom at least 10 minutes" and then you also said "those restrooms aren't truck stop restrooms and in a way it doesn't seem very safe." In the post above, you say.... "it about OUR bathrooms. So I'm wondering, what is it really about that "THEY" are using "OUR" restrooms, the amount of time they took...and why would you think that it is "unsafe?" |

You actually believe that The Villages....is a 'private gated community?' I hate to be the one to break the news to you...but you're sorely mistaken. Just out of curiosity...who told you that? |
Nice to see some Villagers have common sense and are nice people!!
|
OK, OK, so the workers have to go someplace but, one morning at the Dunedin pool a lawn maintenance worker came out of the women's restroom after a very long time. His buddy was still in the men's.

I really can't believe all the P & M about this topic. I worked in an outside job my whole time working and believe me when you have to go you have to go regardless of where it is. A Bathroom is a Bathroom. If it's a Department store, Gas Station, Food establishment etc. if the Public is allowed in the Building the Bathroom is part of the Building. I have NEVER in my lifetime seen a sign that said you CAN NOT USE THIS BATHROOM unless it was out of order Period. No place should be able to refuse you to use a Bathroom period. Get over it, these people ALL bust there butts for us and we're going to tell them you can't use a Bathroom. If it upsets you that much MOVE !

I have seen plenty of signs at restaurants or bars saying their restrooms are for patrons only - but that is not what this thread is about. I also remember signs saying who cannot use a public bathroom- but that was in 1963 in South Carolina. |
