Default Retired people with medical experience

I believe its time for retired persons with medical experience, to contact the state--this includes ex corpsmen, medics, emt's, etc--get you names into a data base , hope I'm wrong, but my "gut" tells me you'll be sorely needed shortly

Each county has a Medical Reserve Corps which is under the umbrella of the county health department. Except for the director and a few staff it is all volunteers. It has both medical and support members and in Sumter county these volunteers provide a significant amount of the staffing for the special needs shelter where vulnerable people go for evacuation in hurricane situations or any other emergency shelter event. This organization is also involved in community training, CPR, emergency first aid training, fall prevention and lots of other programs.

Trouble is most retired people are in that group that will have a very difficult time fighting this virus off. If they decide to volunteer good luck and I applaud you...

Most have let their license go years ago.
