We frequently purchase movie gift cards for Birthdays, etc., and recently had a friend try to use his gift card at the movies, and was told it wasn't any good. He went back home, got the receipt for the gift card and took it back to the theater. They told him that the receipt did not match the gift card and would not honor it. In light of the recent arrest of the manager at Spanish Springs, we're wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience with a gift card purchased at the theater in Spanish Springs.

I did not really understand about how this manager ripped off the theater. Does anyone have information about that? Was it gift cards that the man was voiding the numbers for after he cashed them in?? Really stupid plan if so as he was bound to be caught sooner more than later.
