Some of the companies referenced on this thread do not appear to have a certified roofer contractor license in Florida.
Will do, great advice.

I would call Batterbee for an inspection and if it needs to be replaced, they will do a great job. They are contracted by The Villages for their new builds.
But, but, most are looking for free roof.

I used Five Star about a year ago. Great job on the roof. But my salesmen was the most disorganized person I ever ran into. Kept getting delayed. Date changed twice. Then he lost my deposit not once but 3 times. I never seen anything like this guy. But once the job started it was smooth sailing.

Secured Roofing is the best. Call 407-375-5379 ask for Chris Culig. He will inspect your roof and if you need a new one, he will take care of everything with your insurance company.
They are honest, dependable and efficient.

Smile New Roof?

Bowles Roofing, in Ocala.Family-owned father and two sons, Chase Bowles was the one we talked to and then they did my neighbors new roof and more on my street. He said mine did not need a new roof at the time. I appreciate honesty and that was after two others had been to talk to us and said I needed to have mine done also. Two years later my roof is still in good shape it is now 20 years old.

Default Roofing

QUOTE=Velvet;1960540]Some of my neighbors have replaced their roofs. My untrained eye tells me there maybe damage on my roof too. Someone gave me Five Star roofing and construction. Anyone have their roof done with them? Or which roofing company could be trusted?[/QUOTE]
I had to buy my own roof, had trouble with American Integrity homeowners insurance co. I got 5 bids and selected S&W Roofing, they did a great job, let me pick the shingles, changed all the vents. Contact Will Gressinger (Owner) 352-390-4500.

Are you guys saying the insurance company will cover the replacement of your roof?
Only for storm damage? Any other reasons?

No, the insurance will not routinely pay to replace your roof. The insurance only covers a roof replacement if a weather event causes significant damage to the roof, which is equivalent to a car accident where your car is "totalled".

The reason that insurance companies don't want to insure a house with an old roof is that they are required to cover the damage to the interior of the house damaged by a storm. An old roof is more likely to be compromised by a storm, which can cause significant damage to the interior, resulting in a costly insurance claim.

Batterbee was five thousand dollars more than Bowels roofing for the same quality roof.

Angry Roofing companies ringing door bell.

Apex roofer rang our doorbell to inform us they saw we have loose and missing shingles on our roof. They wanted to give us an estimate to replace it. The problem with his statement is that we had the roof replaced last year. When I told him that he walked away saying his guys must have given him the wrong address.

Just had McGinnis Builders do a roof for us. Quality work for a reasonable price. Highly recommended

Batterbee is an excellent local roofing company. Their office is located right next to The Villages. They put a waterproof underlinement (not tarpaper) over the wood, they do double lining in the valleys of the roof, they use 6 nails per sheet (not 4 like the minimum required), each nail has glue on it for extra hold, they are professional, their staff has been with them for many years and they clean up your yard of any nails by using a magnet sweep. Most people get the architectural shingles for a better roof.
