Since hardly anyone knows how to drive them and no one drives them the same way, there will be accidents.
According to traffic “experts” roundabouts can be much safer than traffic lights. A fender binder at 15-20 miles per hour can do less damage/injuries than a 45-50 mile per hour accident at a traffic light.

True.

Warranted, we’ll-designed roundabouts are safer and far more efficient than signalized intersections. (Yeah, I’m one of those “experts”. )

You are correct; I agree with what you've said.

If anyone has ever lived in a town or city that has LARGE traffic circles --usually where more than 4 intersections meet -- they are safe because they are so huge.

The problem here as I see it is because the entrances/exits to them are too close to one another, meaning that the circumference of each circle is too small.

I believe THAT is the main reason for most of the accidents.

Close but no cigar...............the opposite is true. The entrances / exits are closer together because of the size of the circle. Double the size of the circle and the entrances / exits will be farther apart. Think what it would be like if the circle circumferences were one mile. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

The main reason for accidents is people don't know how to drive them and impatience.....yeah, I know, that's two reasons

Just drove it this afternoon .. So far much ado about nothing .. South of fire station and sandalwood, it goes down to one lane each way for a very short distance.. Speed limit goes down to 35 then 25 with warnings of double fines .. could always slow down a bit more with dump trucks and construction vehicles ..
