Here is another thread on much the same subject.

It is clear to most of us that group exercisers aren't allowed to take over neighborhood pools.

Go to a pool and look at the "rules""Regularly scheduled water exercised groups are not encouraged[/B]" to use sports pools for this purpose. so the sign says at a few many pools.

The Sports pools are the ones at the regional rec centers, such as Colony, Seabreeze, Laurel Manor, Eisenhower, Savannah etc. etc. The neighborhood pools are not for organized exercise groups.

I have no clown in this circus, but the wording given here clearly [to me] does not prohibit regularly scheduled water exercise groups. There is a huge bigly difference between prohibited and not encouraged.

I can't remember all of the details but one of the issues seems to have been that some of the exercise leaders were collecting money for their efforts.

They definitely were leaders, they didn't seem to care that other people just wanted to wade and swim.

I'm lost. Is the OP upset because he/she wants to enjoy their neighborhood pool but can't because there's exercise classes going on? Or are they angry because they are unable to fully participate in them because of some physical reason and are not being accommodated?

It is what it is, acceptance is the answer.

In the Rec News that comes out weekly, the use of the sports pools, the neighborhood pools and the family pools are identified.

The neighborhood adult pools are for residents and guests who are 30 years of age and older.

The neighborhood adult pools are intended for refreshing socialization and non-organized/scheduled activities.

Regularly scheduled water exercise groups are encouraged to use the sports pools.

My interpretation is that organized exercise groups are NOT to meet in the neighborhood pools......

The use of "intended for" and "encouraged" seems like they don't want to enforce any rules.

IMHO they are just hoping people will do the right thing. Over 60 posts because someone can't get with the program....or doesn't want too!
