I would read your covenant documents because it is probably not allowed. My covenant says, "No business of any kind shall be conducted on any residence with the exception of the business of Declarant and the transferees of Declarant in developing and selling all of the Homesites as provided herein." So, if your covenant includes this clause, you just need to file a complaint and the management office will stop it.

Home business are not allowed per deed restrictions. However, it is considered an internal deed restriction and is not often enforced. Anyone who rents a room in their home using a service like AIRBNB, while living in the home, is violating a deed restriction.

Based on the OP's description of the situation, I think there is a good chance that management would enforce the deed restriction in this case. I would file a complaint. Very easy to document with photos, and what do you have to lose?

I don't know what county the OP lives in, but, in Sumter County, it may not be just an internal deed restriction. Sumter County has very strict rules for operating a business in your home and they require a special home occupation permit. I would suggest that the OP check this website for detailed information.

Well you can lose the neighbors goodwill . what bothers you? The truck? The deliveries . maybe just talk to him about putting the truck into the driveway.

Default As a buyer, turns me off completely

Just an FYI, I have been looking to purchase a home in TV and as part of my research with Google Maps one of the homes I looked at just north of 466 showed a business 4 doors away (for Window Tinting). As much as I liked the home, it turned me off even though the street view didn't show any commercial trucks etc and the business looked like a regular home. I don't know why Google maps elected to show this type of detail, but it does.

These sorts of things do have an impact beyond the visual, and can affect home values in the entire neighborhood.

Have you considered that Google maps made an error?

Error or not, the fact that the possibility of a business being conducted four doors down was enough to discourage the prospective buyer on that street. Point was made.

From the Google info, conducting a business cannot be determined.
This may just be a business address and nothing more.
Deliveries, pick-up, customers visiting for quotes, etc. is conducting a business.
