Default Rupert Canine Park

The Villages is planning another new canine park in the District 12 area, this one is to be called Rupert Canine Park and will be located adjacent to the Turnpike and part of the River Bend Recreation Area scheduled to open in "Spring 2019". It looks to have a pavilion like the Dudley dog park has.

Location and plans are below.

That's good to hear. We could use a number of new dog parks throughout the Villages. Unofficial ones seem to pop up all over the place.

Does anyone think folks will complain because of its proximity to the Turnpike and the noise from same?

No one ever talks about a cat park.

I know. I just wanted to whine. We wouldn't let ours go to one.

That is great news. I wonder if it will have the agility course as well?

If it saves the postal stations, and any green area being turned into poo parks, build it as fast as you can!

Unfortunately I doubt it will make any difference. While many responsible dog will use the park, the many more entitled and lazy dog owners will continue to use the public spaces as their dog’s personal “poo Park”. Sad but true.

Let’s not turn this into another dog poop thread. The point of the original post was that the developer is building another park relatively close to the Dudley park. We can only hope they do as nice a job on it as the last one. Why another so near the last? Resident requests for more, perhaps, more likely, in my opinion, they are as tired of the “poo park” problem as the rest of us.
