Spring starts in early March, I think we may have had 2 or 3 days where it got up to 90 this summer. It was 77 yesterday and low 70’s today, cold front going through this weekend with highs around 50 and lows around 29. We get up in the morning and light the gas fireplace for an hour while we’re having coffee. It’s great for us.

As I said earlier, to each their own.
Many wonderful places to live in this beautiful country. There's truly a perfect place for everyone. You just have to find it. For us and our lifestyle, TV checks most of the boxes.

We're going to be snowbirds because we hate winter, all of it. lol
I don't even want to deal with a small amount. Indiana winters suck. But that's just us.

Just find your happy place and move there. Life will be good!

Going back for family but tv was never a good fit. Did not enjoy anything about it. It is a beautiful place if you can leave out the inconsiderate, nasty people. Not all but too many for me.

It is a sign of the times. TV was NEVER like this. When we came here 18yrs ago it was a wonderful happy place, but the whole country has changed not just TV. To repeat, it is a sign of the times, but this too shall pass if we can live long enough.:loco:

We are considering a move, too. We love the weather and amenities, but I guess I was unaware how political TV was when we moved here in 2016. TOTV used to be helpful for new residents, but now is mostly snarky. Must have been a clause in the sales agreement I didn’t read. And I miss diversity. Thanks for the Asheville suggestions.

All the best to you. Life is too short (or maybe too long?) to spend it where you aren't satisfied.
I have family in that area and it is a great spot.

Enjoy NC, and your family.

Lol. Just saw a Medicare commercial featuring Martha. If she isn’t from the villages nobody is.

Did he say he was going to the mountains? NC is a big state with the mountain region being less than a third of the state
