like everybody said they are good to keep around but my exterminator said if you want to keep them out of certain areas spread some crushed limestone?

I actually have to make it a point to thoroughly scour my grill before lighting it now, as a few times, I almost cooked one when igniting?!

We put egg shells out.

They were here first, hurt no one and are easy to clean up after. If you have dogs don't use mothballs!

I have problems with the "They were here first." I regularly discuss with them about pooping on my porch railing. I explain patiently that we own the property and pay the bills and we don't poop on their digs. They just look at me and don't say a thing. Next day I find poop on the chair cushions. I really enjoy them but it took awhile to get over their lizardly look. Now I just think of them as a bunch of lecherous fellows chasing after small skittery girls. When they aren't out or if they are climbing the screen in the birdcage, I always suspect their is a snake about. I really don't like snakes and I don't care if they were here first. Nope. We saved up and worked hard to get us a nice house here and those little fellows need to go home to poop. Not on MY cushions.

Our cat loves them! He gets his exercise playing chase with them every day. We rescue them before he hurts them (he never actually kills them), so we get a bit of exercise too! He keeps them out of the house for us.

I do anything I can to protect them. They are very beneficial and are absolutely non threatening to us. I chase them out of the garage because they die in a few days from the heat. If they get in the house, I use my vacuum cleaner to catch them and take them outside for release. They are QUICK!!

I don’t like the ones with a stripe done their back. My killer dog (not) loves to chase them. Not confirmed but I was told they would be toxic if dog swallows it. I have to confess when I catch one I throw them over the hedge. I have seen more green anoles this season and I leave those alone.

Actually those lizards are taking care of our bugs! Also, are food for alot of the birds. It took me awhile to get used to them after moving here from up north. Where we have very different types of Lizards!!

Only use this around your doors and garage openings: red pepper dust and or hot mustard. They are environmentally friendly and the anoles/gekos do not like it at all.

You won't kill them but keep them where you really need them out and around you home. 😎👍

Not from me...they are harmless, interesting to watch but most importantly they keep my lani bug free. When you mess with nature there is ALWAYS an unintended consequence.

Yes, this works very well. I used the aluminum? metal, kitchen scrubbies none of the insects can bite through metal. You can cut them in half with a sissors and they fit under the aluminum threshold. You may not get everything because if you have a vinyl house they might get through the part when the vinyl meets the metal frame of your screen. But it is very rare when I see anything in the lanai now.
